Subject: INVITE: SAFE PASSAGE HOME: Perspectives on Citizen-Police Interactions
Last summer, Del. Luke Torian held a “Clergy & Law Enforcement Town Hall Mtg” to address relationships between police and the community. Many attendees left with an unanswered question: “What does my son do when stopped by police?”
To address this, First Mt. Zion Baptist Church member and retired police officer Earl Barrett created the idea of a community educational event to discuss how individuals should interact with police. Please join me in attending and raising awareness about this very important discussion. Click here for a flyer and here for a letter concerning the event.
WHAT: Safe Passage Home: Perspectives on Citizen-Police Interactions
WHEN: Saturday, March 25, 9am-12pm
WHERE: NVCC Woodbridge Campus, WS Building Lakeside Theater
SPONSORS: Prince William Police Dept., NVCC, SPARK
Thanks,
