Our health committee member, Glorya Jordan, had the opportunity to interview Dr. Seyi Bolorunduro (Dr. Bolo) for Heart Health Month. Their discussion focuses on heart disease as well as impacts on COVID-19 on the heart. To date, the US has nearly 30 Million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and over 500 Thousand deaths cause by the virus.

Dr. Bolo is a cardiologist with expertise in coronary disease, peripheral arterial disease, clinical research and global health. He is an interventional cardiologist at NOVA cardiovascular care with privileges at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical center, Inova Fairfax and Stafford hospital.

On January 21, 2021 the Health Committee had the pleasure of partnering with Sentara Healthcare and interviewing Dr. Raenell Williams about the Covid-19 Vaccine.

Dr. Williams is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician in Woodbridge, who has earned spots on both Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Top Doctors for multiple years running.

Health Fair at Ebenezer Baptist Church

The Ebenezer Baptist Church is sponsoring a Health Fair  and Blood Drive on Saturday, 16 July 2016 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The address is 13020 Telegraph Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22192 (corner of Telegraph and Minnieville Roads). Phone number is (703) 494-2669.  The purpose of the Health Fair is to promote a healthier lifestyle for people in our community.  There will be a blood pressure screening station, information on health related issues and much much more.  Please consider stopping by this worthwhile community event.  Admission is FREE.  The flyer describing the Health Fare can be accessed here.  The Blood Drive flyer can be accessed here.
