Forum on the Future of Representative Democracy
Annual Juneteenth Celebration
Celebrate Juneteenth with the Prince William County Chapter of the NAACP and the Prince William County Divine 9 organizations. We will start the day off cleaning the Dumfries Slave Cemetery behind Merchant Park from 0900-1100. Them we will have a BBQ to celebrate Juneteenth. This is a free community event, bring your family and lawn chairs to the celebration.
Please RSVP on Eventbrite before 06 June 2019 so we can get an accurate count of all planning to attend. Note: We need volunteers to act as servers for one-hour shifts beginning at noon, so if you are willing to help, fill out the contact form at the bottom of the RSVP announcement and let us know.

“The Prince William-Stafford County National Pan-Hellenic Council (PWSNPHC), in conjunction with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the League of Women Voters, is pleased to invite you to our nonpartisan Candidate Meet and Greet.
The first event will be held at the Chinn Park Library, 13065 Chinn Park Dr., Woodbridge, VA on May 16, 2019, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This event is focused on the Neabsco, Occoquan, Potomac and Woodbridge Districts.
The second event will be held at the Bull Run Library, 8051 Ashton Ave, Manassas, VA on May 21, 2019, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This event is focused on the Brentsville, Coles and Gainesville Districts.
The agenda for the Candidate Meet and Greet is for Prince William County Citizens to communicate directly with incumbent officials and those who have declared their candidacy for elected office. This event will focus on the following positions: County Supervisors, Commonwealth’s Attorney, County Sheriff and School Board Members.

Criminal Justice Forum
The Northern VA Regional Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. are hosting a Criminal Justice Forum on April 24th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Gum Springs Community Center in Alexandria Virginia. The participating Chapters of their organization include, Fairfax County Alumnae Chapter, Fredericksburg Alumnae Chapter, Loudoun County Alumnae Chapter, Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter and Prince William County Alumnae Chapter. Courtney Hill, a Political Consultant & Chief Navigator of Polaris Strategies will moderate the panel conversation with candidates running for the Commonwealth Attorney and District Attorney in our region.
