With the leadership of Supervisor Frank Principi and thhoughtful consideration of the Board of County Supervisors (BOCS), the PWC BOCS has unanimously passed a resolution to ban the felony conviction notification box on job applications for PWC jobs beginning on the 1st of November. This is the result of the effective advocacy of Pastor Keith Savage, Virginia Organizing, the League of Women Voters, other concerned citizens, and members of the PWC NAACP. Changing our Economy
As previously stated on this site, the Prince William County Unit of the NAACP will focus on identifying the economic challenges and opportunities of the African American community in the County. The initiative dubbed #ChangingOurEconomy is in full swing. Economic Sustainability is listed as the first item in the NAACP 21st Century Game Changers which can be viewed by clicking here.
