Second VP Keith Smith informs that First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Manassas  (FAME)  will host a FREE, open to the public,  legal clinic on March 13, 2018. The clinic is sponsored by the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association and the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference. The Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority reminds that Martin Luther King Jr. Day and their Chapter’s annual Oratorical Contest are fast approaching.  Click here to read  a media release about the January 15th event. Hundreds of members of our community joined us on December 16th for our first annual Prince William County Black Business Expo held at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Woodbridge VA. In partnership with the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc., our unit’s Economic Development Committee brought dozens of vendors from the region to showcase their services and wares.

Invitation to apply to the NextGen Program

NextGen is a 12-month leadership development training program for NAACP members between the ages of 21 and 35. The NextGen curriculum focuses on leadership development but also includes training in legislative action, advocacy and program planning consistent with the six NAACP Game Changer areas – Economic Sustainability, Education, Health, Criminal Justice, Civic Engagement and Youth Engagement.
