The Prince William County Office of Elections produced a Voter Education Notice which can be accessed by clicking here. (A copy of this notice can also be accessed from the “Resources” tab on the main menu of this website).
The pamphlet explains that by law, voters are entitled to vote by absentee ballot, and these absentee ballots must be counted by Office of Election on Election Day. You are encouraged to use this procedure thus avoiding waiting in line to vote.
The pamphlet also includes “6 tips for voting success” which you should know before you go to vote.
Finally, information is provided on how to access the Virginia Department of Elections online Citizens Portal where you can check your voter record, confirm your polling place, apply for an absentee ballot and see your sample ballot.
