Then join the Prince William NAACP webinar meeting on 16March at 7:30pm to learn about the application and selection process.
At the top of the meeting, we will be joined by a staff member from the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s Office, Shawn Soares, Special Assistant for Board Appointments. He will also highlight several boards for which they are currently seeking candidates.

Our health committee member, Glorya Jordan, had the opportunity to interview Dr. Seyi Bolorunduro (Dr. Bolo) for Heart Health Month. Their discussion focuses on heart disease as well as impacts on COVID-19 on the heart. To date, the US has nearly 30 Million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and over 500 Thousand deaths cause by the virus.

Dr. Bolo is a cardiologist with expertise in coronary disease, peripheral arterial disease, clinical research and global health. He is an interventional cardiologist at NOVA cardiovascular care with privileges at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical center, Inova Fairfax and Stafford hospital.
